November 3rd 2021
Patients in the Holt and Wells areas of North Norfolk will be able to access COVID-19 boosters closer to home, thanks to a new partnership approach to support local patients.
North Norfolk Primary Care (NNPC), GP Provider Organisation for North Norfolk, and Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCH&C), will be working collaboratively to deliver booster vaccines in the Holt and Wells areas.

Pop-up COVID-19 booster vaccination clinics will be running for five consecutive Mondays, starting on the 8th November 2021 at Wells Community Hospital, Mill Road, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, NR23 1RF. Patients will either receive a text message with a link to book an appointment or will receive a call to be booked in if they do not have a mobile telephone. There will also be some additional capacity for drop-in appointments. If you are currently eligible for a booster vaccine please be patient. Please don’t contact Wells Health Centre, we will contact you. Please help us to keep our phone lines free for urgent and emergency appointments.

A vaccination site is being planned at Kelling Hospital and is expected to go live later in November. These clinics will be delivering COVID-19 booster vaccines. Appointments will be available for booking via the National Booking Service (NBS) NHS national booking service online at nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or call 119 (free) between 7am and 11pm seven days a week. Further information will be available when a firm date has been set.
The new arrangements have been put in place following patient and stakeholder feedback and to increase vaccine accessibility in rural North Norfolk. Making COVID-19 vaccines as accessible as possible is a priority for NHS Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which is overseeing the roll-out of the vaccination programme in the area.
